Montevettolini Vineyard

This is an early morning photo of the vineyard which Felix's father Giovanni has been painstakingly reviving by grafting new stock onto the old root stock that we found under a lot of blackberry brambles. A commando attack by a wild goat and some boar in early spring meant that all the tender (and probably quite delicious) new shoots were munched to an inch of their lives, and that we risked loosing our viticulturist (Giovanni) unless we fenced off the vineyard - which we've now done. So come September we are expecting a bumper crop of grapes and our first lot of wine - wa-hey!
